Identify the actual provider
Request the hospital, branch, proposed procedure, quotation date and surgeon if already assigned. Ask whether an estimate based on photographs will change after an in-person examination, and how any difference will be explained before payment.
Read the inclusions line by line
Check consultations, tests, surgery, anaesthesia, materials, hospital nights, medicines, dressings and reviews. Confirm the interpreter’s hours and any transport or accommodation allowance. Do not assume that “complete care” includes every item.
Confirm the payment conditions
Record the currency, recipient, deposit, balance, expiry date and any conversion or transaction fees. Obtain written conditions for postponement, cancellation, a change of surgeon or a medical decision not to proceed.
Ask about changes after the trip
Clarify who handles follow-up, how records will be provided and who pays for additional care or travel if needed. This checklist is for requesting information, not a confirmed package or a universal refund policy. Keep the agreed quotation with your receipts.
